We’re pleased to announce the latest round of product enhancements to the SAVER range. These changes are based on valuable customer feedback and our ongoing focus on making servicing simpler and the product even more robust in the field.
This upgrade marks the release of the new Mk8 version, delivering greater durability, enhanced safety features, and longer service life.

Revised case design
- Recessed label area for improved protection against wear and damage.
- Enhanced heat treatment process for added strength and durability.
- Compatible only with one-piece SRL brackets (no longer fits two-piece upper/lower brackets).
Improved textured paint finish
- Increased resistance to scratching, chipping, and flaking.
- Maintains a professional appearance for longer.
New crank arm
- Stronger, more durable design for improved reliability.
- Knurled finish for better grip.
- Adjusted spring force for easier engagement.
- Redesigned circlip for simpler replacement using standard tools.
- Fully backwards compatible.
Pinion shaft assembly
- Now supplied as a complete assembly, with key pre-installed in the keyway.
Rope drum double wrap
- On the 30m model, the rope now has a double wrap on the drum; a simple precautionary measure that adds extra margin and ensures peak forces remain even more comfortably within limits.
Updated service manual
- A new version of the service manual is being issued to cover all these changes, available in the Globestock Safety Portal
