SDCRANE
Overview
The SDCRANE davit arm system protects operators from falls from height and optimises the efficiency of loading and unloading operations.
The SDCRANE system can be assembled with a TYPE D rigid fall arrest rail or a with a TYPE A point anchor.
The TYPE D rigid rail system connects multiple SDCRANEs with horizontal rails. This allows the operator to move back and forth along the length of the system, while remaining connected to a trolley that slides along the rail above. The system can be configured with two or more davit arm modules, with a maximum allowable span of up to six metres between modules.
Two rails may be fitted in parallel to each other, enabling two operatives to be protected by the same system, whilst being able to move independently.
The TYPE A system assembled with a single anchor point (no rail), allows for a single anchorage point at the specific work location.
The individual davit arm modules can be self-supporting (counterweight) or fixed to the floor, depending on whether or not holes can be made in the floor structure. Each counterweight module is composed of 168 ballast weights weighing 25 kg each, assembled to the crane arm through a special galvanised steel structure that encases the ballast weights.
